Atzin Response to COVID-19 Crisis

We are so inspired to see grassroots organizing and community care during times like these! Atzin is a small non-profit that OPIRG McMaster has worked with for years, that works in solidarity with the Indigenous Nahua community of Tlamacazapa, Mexico.

They have launched an inspiring campaign in response to COVID-19, spreading resources and information adapted to rural village life. The group has sewed masks with donated materials, distributed soap among the community, and gone door-to-door promoting education about virus-safe hygiene practices.
