From Tragedy to Triumph
MSU Diversity Services and McMaster Hillel would like to invite you all to Stories from the Holocaust, presenting holocaust survivor Frank Junger
Frank Junger, 14, was in school when the Germans came and occupied his hometown of Valea Lui Mihai, Romania, in 1944. Shortly after, he was deported to a ghetto in Hungary and then to a succession of concentration camps: Auschwitz- Birkenau, Gunskirchen, Melk, and Mauthausen, the last from which Frank was liberated in 1945 by American forces. He witnessed and survived some of the worst crimes perpetuated in history, and today he is here to share his story with us. It is a true honour and privilege to have Frank at McMaster University; we hope that you will join us in welcoming him.
