The Year End Report for OPIRG McMaster's Working Groups is complete and on line as a pdf.

You will find an extensive report chronicling the activities of 17 volunteer working groups during the 2007/2008 school year.

Hard copies are available at the opirg resource library.

It is always surprising to look back at the prodigious activity of so many issue-based groups and realize most involve already busy university students and community activists.

The breadth of their reach is extensive, touching many people: after-school programs benefit children (CVAG); people seeking safe places to ride their bikes benefit (TLC); solidarity is expressed with people working for health and justice in Mexico or Guatemala (Mexico, Guatemala); connections with First Nations people are made (First Nations Student Association); in another working group batteries (Battery Recycling) are recycled at campus.

So many issues; so many eager and passionate volunteers bringing their intelligence and perseverance to bear.

Thanks to all who have been a part of working group activity this year!
