The Hamilton Eat Local Project (HELP) works to promote a sustainable food system in the City of Hamilton. Their objectives are to:
• Create a more supportive environment for local farmer and urban growers;
• Assist and encourage Hamiltonians to eat more locally produced foods;
• Improve food knowledge and skills in our community; and
• Empower people to utilize neglected food sources.
The Ancaster Old Mill is hosting the HELP Fundrasier to support the production of an ‘Eat Local food Directory’ book. The purpose of the book is to better connect Hamiltonians with locally
grown food and to assist and support local food production and distribution.
A limited number (25) of half price tickets are available on a first come/first served basis; e-mail fleming.julie@gmail.com.
