Research Money and some Paid Work
OPIRG McMaster will be hiring students for three positions this summer. We are also anticipating receiving some federal monies for full-time summer employment. Stay tuned. In the mean-time, the following jobs are available at a rate of $12.00/hour plus vacation pay. Apply for as many positions as you feel you have the time for and interest in.
Must be a returning McMaster Student to qualify.
1. Poverty Survey:
Data collection assessing the commitment of McMaster faculty to poverty reduction in Hamilton including research and volunteer interests.
Fifty hours completed by August 10th, 2007
2. Anti-Oppression Web Programme:
Develop an interactive web-based anti oppression/pro-diversity educational tool which OPIRG would make available to other campus groups.
One hundred and twenty hours completed by August 3, 2007
3. Sustainability Researcher
In conjunction with MacGreen, the environmental sustainability of the McMaster campus would be examined and evaluated.
Two hundred and forty hours completed by August 3, 2007. There is a possibility that more hours would be made available to complete this project.
