Road to Justice Event



The City of Hamilton’s Access and Equity Office is excited to have the opportunity to present the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic’s "Road to Justice" exhibit. This is a multi-media exhibit detailing the legislated racism and exclusion experienced by the Chinese community in Canada.

The Road to Justice Exhibit will be on display at Hamilton City Hall from April 1st to April 30th 2015 and open for viewing from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
In addition, students and faculty are invited to attend an educational workshop session on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.The workshop will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall, 71 Main St. West. Following the workshop, students and teachers are invited view the Road to Justice Exhibit (please allocate 30 minutes to do this).


The educational workshop session will consist of educational presentations and activities regarding legislated racism in Canada as well as activism within the Chinese community. Presenters will include: Avvy Go, Clinic Director of the Metro Toronto Chinese and Southeast Asian Legal Clinic, and Anna Liu, Co-Chair of the Asian Canadian Labour Alliance.
