Tree Planting along Spencer Creek

The city supplied the trees, 200 or so native species including oaks, to plant along the Spencer Creek Trail on Saturday, October 15, 2005.

Roughly 50 volunteers of all ages joined the ward councillor Art Samson and members of the Hamilton Conservation Authority, and others on the banks of Spencer Creek between McMaster and Dundas.

Spencer Creek is the largest tributary flowing into Cootes Paradise and the Harbour, and the Spencer Creek Trail roughly follows the creek's path through Dundas.

McMaster students and staff can walk down the Cootes Drive path and pick the Spencer Creek Trail up at the bridge just a few minutes walk north of McMaster.
