Wanted: Shady Volunteers!
OPIRG McMaster is looking for volunteers for roughly 2 hours (between 6 and 8pm) on any of the days between Monday, June 17 and Friday, June 21 to go door to door with our Street Tree Project in the Keith Neighourhood.
You will be working in pairs and be given an onsite orientation by OPIRG's Street Tree summer student staffer Jonathan Valencia.
The primary goal is to target the City of Hamilton's street tree program to areas most in need of a refreshed urban forest canopy. So basically, more trees where they are needed most.
Call or text Johnny at 905-745-8984 or leave a message at the OPIRG office 905-525-9140 ext. 26026 if you are interested in helping with this exciting initiative.

The area is roughly bounded by Victoria Ave, Burlington Street, Wentworth North and Barton. For a map showing progress to date, check out http://goo.gl/maps/Wd8A3
