ADH

We’re Adaptive Design Hamilton, an Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) at McMaster University. We make furniture from cardboard and we’d like you to as well. Don't believe us? Check out our blog (and see our cardboard bench)

In an increasingly digital and disconnected world, we’re standing up for the fulfillment that comes from making things with your own two hands – from tinkering around and learning from your mistakes. Because once you realize what you can make with just a few pieces of cardboard – once you realize your  own capacity  your mindset shifts. You become empowered – a problem solver. As much as we’re about physically building furniture, we also believe in building capacity – in showing people that they have the potential to be creative and constructive without destroying the environment. The better world we envision is one that’s built by all of us – one where everyone fits.

If you're interested, we'll be holding our first drop-in building session on Tuesday October 9th from 5:30-7:30 at MUSC 311.Come whenever you want, stay as long as you want and learn how to build cool things.

You don't have to come with a project in mind - we have a lot of larger projects that could use a few more hands.
If the time really, really doesn't work for you really, really want to be part of this, send us an email and we'll figure something out.

Yours in cardboard,

Alisha & Brianna
