ATZIN needs your support!

Dear Friends,

OPIRG McMaster, a long-time supporter of the work of Atzin Desarrollo Comunitario in Mexico, congratulates Dr. Susan Smith, Director of Atzin. The Canadian Nurse recently published a super article about Susan and Atzin. Anyone interested in international health and development can read the article here http://bit.ly/susan_smith_atzin

As you will see, there is a lot going on! The struggles continue to be many, but the hopes remain high and the vision is never lost. Atzin continues to work closely with the villagers of Tlamacazapa, particularly young women, in the areas of Health and Healing, Income Generation for Women, Community Education and Literacy, and Environment, Water and Sanitation.

Your contributions, large and small, ranging from volunteering directly with the project in Mexico to buying baskets in support of Atzin, are pivotal to its ongoing success. With no fixed source of income, it is always a juggling act to maintain Atzin programming. Presently, the organization is suffering a particularly difficult financial time. If you would like to make a donation in support of the work of Atzin, you can do so by sending a cheque to:

Atzin

27 Wilton Crescent
Ottawa ON
K1S 2T4

or by donating online at http://www.atzin.org/. Just click on "Get Involved" and "CanadaHelps".

Charitable receipts will be issued for cheques of more than $10.

As a long time volunteer with direct experience with Atzin, I can vouch for the commitment and integrity of the organization. Thank you for your ongoing interest and support of Atzin.
